Do you do custom dye requests?
Yes and no. If you would like to order a sweaters worth of one of our repeatable colourways – Yes of course.
If you wanted a specific colourway – we can do this within reason. Your idea of ‘sky blue’ might be different to our idea of ‘sky blue’, add to that what happens on the day with the pots. The unique nature of kettle dyeing means there is no guarantee that the ‘sky blue’ in your imagination will be the ‘sky blue’ that ends up on the wool.
If you send us a picture of someone else’s hand dyed yarn and ask us to replicate – absolutely not. Dyeing is an art. Each dyer dyes in their own way. Not only would we never attempt to copy another’s work – likely we would be unable to.

Sorry no. Winding your wool is part of the process. Embrace this.
Are your photos accurate?
It can be hard to buy yarn online – it is such a tactile medium. We understand how much seeing the real thing helps when making that selection for your project.
The stock photos are taken near natural light with the help of photographic equipment. We do our very best to take accurate pictures but there is no way we can guarantee that what you are seeing looks exactly as the photo or indeed real life. Monitors and resolutions vary, light changes the way we see colour – and we all interpret/see colour differently. We are happy to take extra photos if needed.
Where can I buy your yarn?
You can buy here from our online shop or visit one of our stockists. We do attend some wool events throughout the year (please see our calendar/show list).
Postage Information
For shipping within Australia, we use Australia Post Parcel Post Satchels with a shipping time frame of 2+ business days Australia wide – delivery times can depend on your location and what day of the week we post out. You will be provided with a tracking number to monitor your parcel.
For International Shipping we use Economy Air (no tracking)
Estimated shipping time frames from Australia (from the Australia Post web site) to the US, UK and New Zealand are as follows:
Economy Air US – 6 business days.
Standard US – 5 business days.
Economy Air UK – 8 business days.
Standard UK – 6 business days.
Economy Air New Zealand – 7 business days.
Standard New Zealand – 5 business days.
Customs
We have no control over any customs import charges that may be incurred at the shipping destination. Any such charges are payable by you the customer and not Mile High Merino. Please do not ask us to mark the item as a gift.
We are not responsible for any delays due to customs.
